Today I got out the motor that I intend to use for my homemade wood lathe. It is a GE 3/4 horsepower, 1750 RPM motor. I have seen some other homemade wood lathes that used 1/4 horse, 1750 RPM motors, so this one should work for this application I would think.
I'm not sure what the motor was previously used for. It was given to me by the previous owner of my house.
Before I try to run it, I want to see if I can find some more information on it.
